Branson, Missouri –White River Connect, a local provider of high-speed fiber internet, is celebrating the connection of its 10,000th customer. Dustin Davy from Chadwick, Missouri recently joined the growing network which provides reliable internet and VoIP phone services to rural communities across the Ozarks. To mark the milestone, the Davy family received a 65” TV, an Apple iPad, a gift bag, and was cheered on by several White River Connect employees. The milestone reflects growing demand for dependable broadband across White River Connect’s five-county service area and the progress of its fiber buildout since construction began in 2023.
“Switching to White River Connect was an easy decision for our family because there haven’t been many options for internet in Chadwick that have been reliable for us,” said Dustin Davy. “White River Connect’s internet is affordable and super-fast. After installation, a speed test showed 270 megabits per second on our 250-megabit package, exceeding our expectations.”
White River Connect’s internet service is creating new opportunities for rural communities. “Reaching 10,000 customers in less than three years is a testament to our local team’s dedication to ensuring our neighbors have access to the best internet available,” said Blake Caruthers, vice president and chief broadband officer. “White River Connect is giving our customers new opportunities to dream bigger—from working at home to gaining better access to education and telehealth. We are proud to serve the rural Ozarks.”
Construction began on White River Connect in June of 2023 to provide high-speed internet to rural areas of Christian, Douglas, Ozark, Stone, and Taney Counties. The company connected its first customers in Branson, Missouri, in March 2024.
White River Connect is nearing completion of its initial commitment to make fiber internet service available to all White River Valley Electric Cooperative members.
